Golden Hind or (Golden Hinde) was an English galleon best known for her circumnavigation of the globe between 1577 and 1580, captained by Sir Francis Drake. Zvezda is offering a kit of this historic vessel in 1/350 as a snap-together kit - a chance for some of you old sea dogs to maybe recruit some young swabs to the hobby of model ship building.

The motor vehicle company Autocar produced their first car in 1900 that was a single cylinder chain drive runabout. About 27 were made. During the Second World War they had produced 50,000 trucks. Now L'Arsenal has made the heavy haulers them available for your 1/350 transports

Pontos has released a detail set for Revell's 1/350 Bismark kit (No 05040) that includes all the that we've come to expect from Pontos sets.
In March of this year, Felix Bustelo filed a report of Merit's Late Elco 80' PT-Boat. Now Merit is offering an earlier version of that same craft.
A FREMM (European multipurpose frigate or in French - Frégate européenne multi-mission or in Italian - Fregata europea multi-missione) is a class of frigate designed by DCNS/Armaris and Fincantieri for the navies of France and Italy. Gwylan Models is now accepting pre-orders for a kit of this ship.
The Steamer Taiping (Other Scale)
The sinking of the steamer Taiping in 1949 shocked people in Mainland China. In the midst of the Chinese Civil War, people were fleeing from China to Taiwan. The Taiping was carrying perhaps over twice her rated capacity in passengers on her voyage when she collided with another vessel, causing the loss of 1,500 souls. The story is the subject of a new John Woo film, The Crossing.
Dragon has earlier offered 1/350 scale kits of the Z31, Z38 and Z39 destroyers, and the trio is now being joined by their sister, Z32.
Combrig Models has released two 1/72 naval gun sets this month -the 203mm and 102mm Obukhov guns used on WWI Imperial Russian Naval ships.

HMS Valiant - 1939 Version (1:700)
Adding to their line of Queen Elizabeth Class of battleships, Trumpeter has announced a 1939 variant for the HMS Valiant. This kit is listed as to be available in March 2015.
The Kamikawa Maru was one of nine merchant ships converted into seaplane carriers between 1937 and 1942. Each tender was equipped with two catapults on their aft well deck and carried eight aircraft. The ships were equipped on their bow and stern with single 6in guns and AA guns, 2 13.2mm, by their bridges.
Aoshima is updating their Kongo kit as a ‘Retake’ series release, slated for January 2015.

For those who prefer their submarine models less then a yard long, RCSubs has announced a 1/144 PE set for Revell's Type VIIC/41 u-boat (kit no. 5100).

HMS Daring (H-16) Waterline Kit (1:700)
Niko has added another fine waterline destroyer kit to their existing fleet. HMS Daring was 'D' class destroyer, launched on 7 April 1932. The ship was initially assigned to the 1st Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean and made a brief deployment to the Persian Gulf and Red Sea in September–October 1933.
In September we reported on the release of the 'late' production "Ka-Mi" amphibious tank kit. Now Dragon has announced a release of the 'eary' production variant.

Artwox has released 7 wood deck sets for ship kits of the Second Word War that range from a Pearl Harbor attack configuration of a US battleship to IJN hybrid battleships.
Artwox has come out with two new wooden deck sets for a Kriegsmarine destroyer and an Imperial Russian Navy battleship.
NOTE: I was at the GMM website in 'The What's New Section' and did not notice the date of it was 10/10/13. Since we had no images of the set listed here at the time of its release I decided to leave the article up -it's a nice looking set. Sorry for the confusion.

US Navy LSM (1:144)
A kit of a WWII US Navy LSM (Landing Ship Medium) is now being offered by Revell of Germany. These ships were used from mid 1944 for amphibious landing operations in the Pacific against Imperial Japan held territories.
