The Newest resin kit from Atlantic Models is of a post WWII Royal Navy frigate design, the Type 81. They were the first class of the Royal Navy to be designed from the start to operate a helicopter and the first small escorts to carry a long-range air search radar. They were armed with two 4.5-inch (114 mm) Mark 5 main guns salvaged from scrapped Second World War destroyers.

This kit was released earlier this spring but I wanted to make mention of it here. A Cold War midget submarine from the Soviet Union, the Project 907 was an SDV -Swimmer Delivery Vehicle in US designation, SMPL - Sverkhmalaya Podvodnavy Lodka (Super Small Submarines) in Russian. It was developed in the late 60's-early 70's.

The QF 12 pounder 12 gun was a common, versatile 3-inch (76 mm) calibre naval gun introduced in 1894 and used until the middle of the 20th century. It was produced by Armstrong Whitworth, Elswick and used on Royal Navy warships, and exported to allied countries. AJM Models has recently released a 1/350 kit of this gun.
